I made the most delicious food ever. Not really complicated (since I can’t cook I like to keep things painfully simple). Me and food just doesn’t go well together. But I felt the need to do something nice for myself since I’ve had such a good day. Started the day by playing the sims3 for a couple of hours (you know how you get so carried away while playing that damn game!). Went out for a powerwalk/jog (I’ve been preparing mentally for that for a couple of days. I’ve decided that I’m gonna start doing something to make me feel better both in mind and body wise). And now I’m gonna eat this food, watch another episode of An Idiot Abroad (my new favourite show!) and then I’m gonna head out and practise my rollerskating skills. That’s my day.

Below you see some photos of what I’ve made. Potato wedges and a mix of tikka chicken, musrooms, tomatoes, greek salad cheese and red onion, krutons + nuts and green salad on the side. Easy and so amazingly good. What do you think, mum?

I have created an category called ‘inspiration’. It doesn’t need any introduction, cause the name says it all. I will have some subcategories, in which I will put what inspires me. This one is called Photographers, and first up is the lovely work by the french photographer Sarah Moon.

I actually found Sarah through Francesca Woodman (who I will write about in another post). I just love Sarah because of the way she takes her photos. They rarely in focus, and that’s what makes it so fascinating. When I started out as a photographer, I was annoyed when my photos were out of focus. It wasn’t until I found an old book with old fashion photographs (from the early 40s) that I realised that photos of people doesn’t always need to be in focus. And sometimes the fact that the photo is out of focus, can actually save the photo itself.

Exactly what the title says. A new beginning needs a new blog. With a new look and a ‘new’ content. This will include a lot of photographs (both my own and others), a lot of quotes, dream houses and also a lot of vintage cameras. Things that may have been forgotten, and things that you need to be reminded of.
tumblr_m94mdrCIj91rxspw9o1_1280My name is Sofia. Currently based in London, UK. I am a photographer, digital artist and a dreamer. And I’m okay with that.

I started my first blog back in june 2007, when I thought about moving to London for the first time. That’s also when I really discovered my passion for layout and design. After designing a lot of blogs for people I decided to give my studies another go. I spent two years of my life studying Graphic Design and Web Development and graduated in June 2010. After working for another year I took my stuff an moved to London. I took a short course in Photo Retouching at London College of fashion and started to work in a Digital Shop.

Also, keep in mind that I am currently working on the layout, which means that it might look like shit for a while. Bear with me.
